We stargazed at night from the nice and clean hot tub. We woke up to some really amazing views of the ocean and the wildlife was plentiful too.
A beach cove is just down the street and can easily be walked to but the best thing is that even on a windy day the cove blocks most of the wind so you can still enjoy the beach.
The house is perfect; we were three adults and two children, all comfortably settled. Nice kitchen, great hot tub.
Our 3rd time staying at a property managed by Katie and Jay, and just like the last 2 times our stay was exceptional.

The house
Savor stunning ocean views from every room of Silvestrina, a Scandinavian-style beach house nestled between the wild woods and the sea. Whale watch from your private, large hot tub, then walk over to Cook's Beach for sun and surf, or to the beautiful St. Orres hotel restaurant and bar. Enjoy excellent dining in Gualala, Anchor Bay, and Point Arena, and wonderful hiking in Sea Ranch and Salt Point.
Silvestrina sits west of Highway 1, in Pacific breezes and salt air, with stunning ocean views from every room.

Things to know
- Guests are required to sign a rental agreement.
- The ground leading from parking to the house can be uneven and the walkways are gravel.
- There is one other building on the property which may be occupied, but your spaces are entirely private from each other and you will likely not see nor interact with the other occupants.
- For your safety, there are security cameras on the parking area and entrance path. There are no cameras in the house or hot tub area.

- Can I bring a pet?
- Pets aren't allowed at Silvestrina.
- Where do I park?
- The house has two dedicated parking spaces on the property, and parking is free.
- What are the check-in and check-out times?
- Check-in is from 4pm and check-out is by 11am. You let yourself in through a smart lock with a key code, and we send instructions before you arrive.
- How good is the internet?
- High-speed satellite internet runs at about 281 Mbps over wifi, and the office has a dedicated workspace. Cell service in the area can be patchy.
- Is there a minimum stay?
- Two nights, sometimes more depending on the season. Children and infants are welcome, the primary renter must be 25 or older, and smoking isn't allowed.
The area
Silvestrina is on the coast at Gualala, between the woods and the sea. Cook's Beach and the St. Orres hotel restaurant and bar are a walk away. Gualala, Anchor Bay and Point Arena have more restaurants, and Sea Ranch and Salt Point have the hiking.
The Mendocino coast here is wild and rural. The property is often visited by wildlife including deer, foxes, large birds and more. You might look over your morning coffee to see whales breaching in the sea, sheep grazing above the cliffs, or deer meandering through the yard. Be prepared to enjoy the unexpected!

Cancellation
Cancel more than 30 days before arrival and 92% of the booking charges are refunded. Within 30 days of arrival there is no refund. If you book at least 72 hours before arrival, you can cancel free of charge within 24 hours of booking.
