We loved Little Dachita Beach Loft - unbelievable location, and only a five minute walk to Cook's Beach -- and tremendous views of the Pacific from the loft windows, and via the hot tub.
Looking out over Bournes Landing to the ocean from that tub is just about perfect.
What a lovely space! It was exactly what we needed. Bed was super comfortable, everything was clean, lots of light. Shower is incredible!
We have been staying at this property for several years. Katie and Jay put a great deal of effort into maintaining its quality and charm year after year.

The house
The Little Dachita is a light-filled, open-plan loft set above the Pacific Ocean at Bournes Landing, offering stunning whitewater views from the bed, lounge area, hot tub and even the shower. This private retreat is designed for restoration, connection and comfort.

What to expect

- The hot tub is professionally serviced before each guest's stay.
- We value your privacy and aim to provide a seamless, contactless experience. We are available by message throughout your visit to answer any questions or assist with any needs.
Things to know
- Guests are required to sign a rental agreement.
- The ground leading from parking to the loft can be uneven and the walkways are gravel. Also, entry to the loft requires climbing a flight of stairs.
- There is one other building on the property which may be occupied, but your spaces are entirely private from each other and you will likely not see nor interact with the other occupants.
- For your safety, there are security cameras on the parking area and entrance path. There are no cameras in the loft or hot tub area.

- Pets aren't allowed at the Little Dachita.
- Where do I park?
- One parking space on the property is yours, and parking is free.
- What are the check-in and check-out times?
- Check-in is from 4pm and check-out is by 11am. Check-in is self-service, and we send instructions before you arrive.
- How good is the internet?
- High-speed satellite internet, with a dedicated workspace in the loft. Cell service in the area can be patchy.
- Can I cook?
- The kitchenette has a fridge, a microwave and a Keurig coffeemaker, and there's no stove.
- Is there a minimum stay?
- Sometimes. Enter your preferred dates to see if a minimum stay is required. The loft sleeps two, the primary renter must be 21 or older, and smoking isn't allowed.
The area
The loft is on the Mendocino Coast near Gualala, steps from Cook's Beach. Gualala, Anchor Bay and Point Arena have the nearest restaurants, and Sea Ranch and Salt Point have the hiking.
The Mendocino coast here is wild and rural. The property is often visited by wildlife including deer, foxes, large birds and more. You might look over your morning coffee to see whales breaching in the sea, sheep grazing above the cliffs, or deer meandering through the yard. Be prepared to enjoy the unexpected!

Cancellation
Cancel more than 30 days before arrival and 92% of the booking charges are refunded. Within 30 days of arrival there is no refund. If you book at least 72 hours before arrival, you can cancel free of charge within 24 hours of booking.
