We stayed at Katie's place with our 3 year-old and have nothing but good things to say about it. The kitchen was very well-equipped.
Beautiful and charming, this home has a lot of character and thoughtful touches throughout. We really loved the record player and library/bookshelf.
I work remotely and appreciated the dedicated work desk and monitor, and stable wifi.

The house
Park Villa is a two-bedroom bungalow with its own courtyard, on a storybook tiny street beside Balboa Park in San Diego's North Park. Balboa Park and the Balboa Tennis Club are four blocks away, with the swimming pool, the disc golf course and the park's trails beside them, and North Park's restaurants, cafes and shops are a walk away.

What to expect
- There is one parking space in the driveway and ample free parking on the street.
- The house has been recently renovated including kitchen appliances, new hardwood floors and many new windows. It also is a 100-year-old bungalow that has a few quirks and likes to be treated gently.
- The propane grill on the back patio is yours to use, however it is possible you may have to get the tank filled.
- We value your privacy and aim to provide a seamless, contactless experience. We are available by message throughout your visit to answer any questions or assist with any needs.
Things to know
- Guests are required to sign a rental agreement.
- The living room fireplace is equipped with electric fairy lights to provide cozy ambience. It is not operational for fires.
- For your safety, there are security cameras at each entrance and the entrance to the courtyard. There are no cameras in the house or pointing at the house.
- Park Villa's neighbors are lovely, our houses are located quite close together, and we stay in regular contact. We all treasure this street as a peaceful and relaxing oasis. With that in mind, it's important to refrain from excessive noise and also observe quiet hours from 10pm to 7am. No parties, of course.

- Can I bring a pet?
- Pets aren't allowed at Park Villa.
- Where do I park?
- There's one space in the driveway, which is narrow and best for a smaller car, and plenty of free parking on the street.
- What are the check-in and check-out times?
- Check-in is from 4pm and check-out is by 11am. Every entrance has a smart lock with a key code, and we send instructions before you arrive.
- How good is the internet?
- AT&T fiber at about 320 Mbps over wifi, with two dedicated workspaces.
- Is there a minimum stay?
- Two nights. Children and infants are welcome, the primary renter must be 25 or older, and smoking isn't allowed.
The area
Park Villa is on a small street beside Balboa Park, next to its tennis courts, swimming pool, disc golf course and hiking trails. North Park's restaurants, cafes and shops are close by. The San Diego Zoo and the Balboa Park museums are a longer walk or a short drive, as are Balboa Park Golf Course, Petco Park and downtown San Diego. The beaches and Mission Bay Park are 15 to 20 minutes away by car.
Cancellation
Cancel more than 30 days before arrival and 92% of the booking charges are refunded. Within 30 days of arrival there is no refund. If you book at least 72 hours before arrival, you can cancel free of charge within 24 hours of booking.
